Happy 100th Birthday Mary S. Biesecker Public Library!

 

Used Book SaleThursday, November 6 6-7:30 PM, Friday, Nov. 7- 10AM-6PM and Saturday, Nov. 8-9AM-4PM.  Old books, recent books, fiction, nonfiction, hardcover and paperbacks.  Come in for some great bargains and support your library!

Guest Speaker Tony Urban will speak about his travels to haunted and weird places and his new book “Travelogue of Horror” at the library Thursday, November 13 at 7 pm.  Copies of his new book will also be available for purchase.

 Miss JoAnn’s Preschool is every Tuesday at 1 PM.  This is a time of fun and learning with crafts, story time, activities and snacks.  Ages: 3-5 years  Time: Tuesdays at 1 p.m. (Oct.7 – May 19)

 Toddler Time is every Wednesday at 10:30 AM.  Bring your child age 1-3 years old and join us for rhymes, lullabies, stories and crafts. We will meet on Wednesdays through May 6, 2015.  Please register at the front desk or call 445-4011.  A big thank you to Target Corporation for helping us to purchase new board books this year.

TAB will meet Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 PM for a craft and 2 PM for a meeting.  New teens are welcome.

Book Clubs:

 The Fourth Tuesday Book Club will meet in the lower level of the library on Tuesday, October 27 at 7pm.  Members will discuss any book by Ann Rule.  New members are always welcome.

First Tuesday Book Club will meet in the lower level of the library on Tuesday November 4 at 7pm. Gallows View by Peter Robinson is the selection.  Pick up a copy at the front desk.  New members are always welcome.

 Bound To Read, a non-fiction book club will meet Wednesday, November 5 at 4:00 P.M. in the lower level of the library. A Journal For Jordan by Dana Canedy is the selection. You can pick up a copy at the front desk. New members are always welcome.

The Mary S. Biesecker Public Library is looking for dedicated, energetic volunteers.  Duties include working at the circulation desk, shelf reading, dusting shelves and shelving books.  Days needed include Mondays, Fridays, or Saturdays. Clearances required.  Please contact the library at 445-4011 for more information.
